Coming Home administers the coordinated entry process whereby all persons experiencing homelessness enter the system of helpful providers by calling 211 and/or visiting Unity Square Community Center in New Brunswick; the Center for Support, Success and Prosperity in Perth Amboy, the First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen (Thursday mornings) and Aldersgate Community Center in East Brunswick (Tuesday noontime). Through this system, Coming Home assesses persons using a uniform tool, collectively developed, and prioritizes them for available resources, such as shelter, prevention programs and permanent housing, based on their severity of needs and length of homelessness.
