Government funders require all communities to conduct a survey of all homeless persons locally in late January every year. It is not just a count; rather, a survey to understand particular causes of homelessness for the individual and their barriers to stable housing. We use it as a planning for action tool. Coming Home is helping to lead the effort in Middlesex County and is seeking new/gently used winter hats, gloves, scarves, coats, long underwear & warm socks (new only), etc. This is a great service project for scout troops, youth groups, school groups, teams, etc. If you or your group would like to provide donations, we will ensure they get to the homeless individuals and families in our community.
